Saturday, July 23rd Resting Pulse: Not Recorded Weight: Not Recorded Course: Lake Youngs Distance: 10 Miles Time: 83:51 Other Exercises: None Weather: Sunny; 78° Comments: I ran ten miles today. I felt a little bit tired, but I didn't have any real trouble. I ran 35 miles for the week, which is the most weekly mileage I've done in over a year. I thoroughly enjoyed today's ITT. Armstrong won, which I expected, but Ullrich finished quite strong, which I didn't. I wonder how the Tour would have gone if he'd been this on form from the beginning. Mancebo's ride also impressed me. He managed to finish ninth on the stage and move up to fourth overall. I guess it finally was his year to finish in the top five. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Rasmussen though. I don't think he could have had a worse time trial. It was pretty much a given that he'd lose 3rd place to Ullrich, but I didn't expect him to slip all the way back to 7th. I guess two crashes, three bike changes, and a flat tire will slow a guy down.
