Saturday, July 16th Resting Pulse: Not Recorded Weight: 165 lbs. Course: Lake Youngs Loop Distance: 10 Miles Time: 82:16 Other Exercises: None Weather: Sunny, 84° Comments: I ran ten miles at a medium pace today. I wanted to run at an easy pace, but my legs felt good and I just went with it. I finished five minutes faster than last week. This gives me 33 miles for the week, making this the most weekly mileage I've run in all of 2005. (That's actually kind of sad; at the beginning of the year I expected to be running in the mid-50s by now.) Today's stage of the Tour de France was excellent. Armstrong is just too tough for the rest of the field. Leipheimer and Landis performed well too, and I'm still holding out hope for seeing more than one American on the podium come July 24th. I'm off to volunteer at the finish line of the Seattle Night and Day Challenge. I competed last year, but seven hours of running killed my legs. I choose to skip it this year, but I like the organizers and thought I'd give them a hand. Also, my dad is running the seven hour, so I can make sure no one cheats him out of any points.
