Comments: Today was the first day of my twelve-week training program for the Country Music Half Marathon. I ran some hill repeats, and I didn't feel too bad when I was done. Truth be told, I like running hard workouts. I like feeling the lactic acid build up in my legs. I like feeling the blood pound in my gums. I like that faint whiff of ammonia I smell when I'm running near the edge. And I like knowing I can quit any time I want, because it's just a workout, not a race.
